Current and Future Picture of Cyprus - Major Changes Coming to Study Rules in Cyprus

Major Changes Coming to Study Rules in Cyprus 2025

Significant changes are currently being seen in the rules in Cyprus.

  • IELTS Requirement is Increasing

  • Study Gap is Being Checked Strictly

  • Some More New Conditions Are Being Added

So the question is – Why come to Cyprus?

Situation in Other Countries

Nowadays, the visa rejection rate in many popular countries is very high. Many people I know have been rejected from 5-7 countries simultaneously.

  • If your study gap is low and your IELTS score is good, you should definitely try other good countries first.

  • But if you don't want to take the risk of rejection, applying to Cyprus is a safer path.

Job Crisis

It's natural to worry about work. However, you must remember—there are not enough job vacancies in any European or American country during the Winter Season.

  • If you come with 6 months of financial backup and spend wisely, then, Insha'Allah (God willing), you will get a job very quickly.

Moving to Another Country

Moving from Cyprus to another country is possible, but the process is difficult. Various documents, including bank statements, are required, which is often challenging for middle-class families.

  • You could consider moving after finishing your bachelor's degree and saving up.

  • And if you have sufficient funds, you can try directly after getting the Pink Card.

Will Cyprus Become Schengen?

There are many rumors about this. Some say it will be in January, others in March. But the real truth is—even the President doesn't know exactly when it will happen, but somehow agencies in Bangladesh do.

  • Schengen will definitely happen, but no one can confirm the exact time.

Choosing an Institute

The advice based on the current situation is—

Choose a college/university where the tuition fee in the second year is comparatively low. If the fee is high, the first year becomes tough. Therefore, choose an institute considering the quality of education, tuition fees, and class pressure.

All the above points are based on 1 year of observation, personal perspective, and experience. Whether to follow or not is completely your personal decision.

(Trust in God).
